About

Gonca Oguz Gok is an Associate Professor at Marmara University, Department of International Relations. She received her B.A from Koç University, and PhD from Marmara University, Department of Political Science and International Relations. She was a visiting scholar at the Minnesota University, Political Science during 2009–2010 semesters. Her research focuses on Global Governance, United Nations, International Legitimacy, Rising and Middle Powers. Her research appeared in journals and books such as Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Global Responsibility to Protect, Routledge, Palgrave, among others.  Her most recent edited book is Gok, G.O., & Mehmetcik, H. (2021). The Crises of Legitimacy in Global Governance (1st ed.). Routledge.
