Dr. Maria Saifuddin Effendi is an assistant professor of peace and conflict studies, Pakistan National Defence University. Effendi completed his PhD in 2019 and received his specialization in ethnic conflict resolution in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Quaid-e-Azam University. Effendi served as an academic advisor on the Rotary Peace Centers Committee of Rotary International from 2017 to 2018. He is currently working on a book called “The Conflict Resolution Model Specific to Pashtun Society”.
