Farrukh Khakimov

Mr. Farrukh Khakimov is Head of Department on Foreign Policy and Security at the Development Strategy Center, Uzbekistan. He holds International Master’s degree in International Relations and Security Studies from the University of Glasgow jointly awarded with Dublin City University and Charles University in Prague.

Prior to joining the Development Strategy Center, Mr. Khakimov lectured World Politics and Geopolitics at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and also worked as a research fellow at the Academy of Public Administration and at the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan during 2010-2016.

Mr.Khakimov’s areas of research interest are world politics, geopolitics, Central Asian region and digitalization processes in Central Asia.
