Julika is a long-serving Estonian diplomat who has also lived in Türkiye as a Deputy Head of Mission in the Estonian Embassy in Ankara , as well as Chair for the Enlargement Working Group in the Council of the European Union during the Estonian Presidency few years ago.
She is currently working as an Antici, which means that she is the close confidant and counsellor to Estonian Permanent Representative in Brussels. Therefore, she is dealing with all most topical issues in the European Union, including the EU´s response to Russian aggression in Ukraine, EU´s relations with the US and China, as well as internal EU policies (such as migration and the Single Market).
She has also served as a Seconded National Expert in the European External Action Service, mainly dealing with Russia.
She received her Master’s degree in European economics and politics from the University College Dublin, Ireland. She also has a diploma from Estonian School of Diplomacy and a Bachelor Degree from the University of Tartu.
